Dr. Cody Hughes
Dr. Cody Hughes is an Alabama native, growing up in Andalusia, Alabama. Most of his childhood and young adult years were spent largely on the baseball field having played at the collegiate level at Southern Union State Community College and then Troy University. During his undergraduate years, he realized he wanted to serve others through something he is very passionate about, dentistry. Dr. Hughes graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology at Troy University in 2016. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After graduating in May of 2020, Dr. Hughes spent an additional year at the Dental College of Georgia General Practice Residency program, receiving additional training in managing medically complex patients, dental implant surgery, Wisdom teeth (3rd molar) removal, sedation, and advanced general dentistry. He also holds memberships in organizations such as American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and International College of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Now Dr. Hughes has come back to his home state, having settled down in Pike Road, Alabama with his wife, Keaton, and their golden retriever, Raylan. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
